About Me

G'day, my name is Josh Atkins, and I am the founder and managing director of Athletic Training Protocols (ATP). I established ATP in 2015 after serving in the Australian Army since 2009, and I have been actively involved in the health and fitness industry ever since.

Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals, including parents striving to maintain their health for the sake of their children, semi-pro and professional athletes aiming to enhance specific aspects of their training, and first responders and defence personnel training to ensure they are always prepared for any mission. Additionally, I have collaborated with various sporting organizations to develop and implement training programs for individuals of all ages and skill levels, ranging from U14 to Opens. Furthermore, I have a substantial online client base with diverse goals and aspirations regarding their training outcomes.

I firmly believe that effective body movement is the key to success, as it allows for sustained progress while minimizing the risk of injuries. Fitness is not just a hobby for me; it is a lifestyle that should align with the life you aspire to live. My training approach is unique and aims to enhance your efficiency, strength, and endurance, enabling you to achieve new heights regardless of your objectives.

Whether you are an athlete, a dedicated fitness enthusiast, or someone who is just embarking on their fitness journey, I am here to support you. I will assist you in building upon your existing foundation and propelling you closer to your goals. My approach is highly personalized and tailored to your specific needs, recognizing the opportunity to improve both your training and overall well-being.

Furthermore, I am proud to be an advocate for veteran mental health and suicide prevention. Each year, on the first Saturday of December, I organize the Weight of War Run, an event that raises awareness and funds for the Survive to Thrive Nation Program (STTN). This program provides crucial support to our veterans. By choosing me as your trainer, you not only improve your fitness but also contribute to making a difference in the lives of our veterans.

I invite you to also look at what some current and previous clients have had to say about their time training with me.
