FAQs

What types of programs do ATP offer?

Our most popular programming formats for our athletes and clients are below, keeping in mind, that each program is built for the individual with all of their past and current circumstances taken into account.

  • Athletic Performance – these programs are aimed towards building athletic capacity and sports-specific functionality.  These programs are not just for athletes.  Many people of all levels love this style of training also.

  • General Physical Preparedness – this is our single largest category.  We build programs for mums, dads, individuals who have never trained before, and everything in between.  There is something for everyone in this category.

  • Military and First Responders – these programs are designed with our soldiers and first responders in mind.  Each program is challenging and purpose-driven.  As with many of our programs, if you want to see results, you’ll need to put the work in.  Many of our clients have had tremendous success using our programming for entering service through basic fitness exams, progressing through job roles and selection into special forces.

  • Functional Bodybuilding - this is the perfect style of training for individuals who have trained in the typical bodybuilding style or "bro split", but want more out of their training due to stagnation and or constant niggles or injury.  Functional bodybuilding will help you still have the physique you want but also have you moving the best you ever have.

Can anyone do any type of program APT offers?

Yes and no. We have many different levels of programming from beginner, intermediate and advanced. If you have the required skillset and capacity needed, then we advise many athletes (everyone's an athlete) to try different styles; meaning you don’t have to be military or first responders to do our Tactical S&C Program or any other program.  With that said, some of our Athletic Performance and Military Training programs can be very challenging and contain complex movements that are not for athletes without the required fitness and skill base.

How do I access my program once I sign up?

We utilise the app TrainHeroic, this app is free to download. Once you have joined ATP and you have purchased a program; you'll have an account created for you and upon the program being built, you'll have instant access to it.

How do communicate my results and data from sessions to my coach?

Unlike other methods of program delivery, such as excel spreadsheets, hardcopy training books or printouts. Our app offers the unique ability to instantly record every rep, the weight you did, every set, calorie, WATT, time, height, you name it. Simply fill out the fields it prompts you to and your data will be recorded for both you and your coach to see. Along with that, you can make comments on the exercises and the session itself. As soon as you log the session your coach will be notified and they can review, leave remarks and update future sessions.

Do I need to be at a Gym facility to do these programs?

Short answer Yes, long answer No. All programs contain equipment commonly found in commercial gyms or well-kitted out Crossfit boxes and home gym setups. With that said, we are able to modify to an extent with the main program still being effective. We also offer low/no equipment programs for those without access to a gym permanently or if travelling, however, keep in mind that if this is in conjunction with your current program, timelines and results may potentially be affected.

What if I don't know how or am not sure of an exercise or movement that is on my program?

Each exercise has a video of how to correctly perform it within the app, alongside that, your coach will leave exercises common on key aspects of how they want you to perform the movement and what cues to remember. Falling short of that, you are able to film yourself doing the movement, send it to your coach and have them analyse it for any feedback that may be needed.
